PSABE Cavite Chapter Strengthens Network with New Leadership in Consultative Meeting

The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) Cavite Chapter, under the guidance of the PSABE Region IV-A Chapter, held a successful consultative meeting on January 14, 2023, at the Interdisciplinary Research Building of Cavite State University (CvSU). This event, conducted in partnership with the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering (DAFE), aimed to strengthen the presence of PSABE by organizing and reactivating satellite chapters across CALABARZON, with a particular focus on Cavite.

During the meeting, PSABE Region IV-A presented their accomplishments and future plans for 2022–2024, alongside discussions on key legislative updates relevant to Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (ABEs), including RA 10915 IRR, the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling, Certification of Test Engineers, and RA 10601. The meeting also served as a platform to discuss the upcoming PSABE IV-A Regional Convention and to finalize the reactivation of the Cavite Chapter.

The event culminated in the election of a new set of officers for the PSABE Cavite Chapter, with the following members taking up leadership roles:

With over 40 AB Engineers in attendance, the consultative meeting marked a key step toward uniting Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers in the region, empowering them to advance their profession through collaboration, updated knowledge, and community engagement. The PSABE Cavite Chapter is now well-positioned to contribute to the development of agricultural engineering in the province.
