On March 24, 2023, the Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) Cavite Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering (DAFE) and the CvSU Agricultural Engineering (AE) Group, joined in the festivities during Cavite State University’s (CvSU) Alumni Loyalty Day. The event, part of CvSU’s 117th Founding Anniversary, was highlighted by the inauguration of the "Bahay ng Alumni" and the unveiling of the building marker, which was designed by Engr. John Paulo M. Perido, a proud CvSU AE alumnus and an officer of the PSABE Cavite Chapter.
As part of the celebrations, the PSABE Cavite Chapter and the CvSU AE Group hosted an alumni homecoming event at S.M. Rolle Hall. Themed “AElumni Homecoming 2023: Ang Pagbabalik sa CvSU,” the gathering brought together more than 90 AE alumni from 31 graduating batches, with the first batch of AE graduates dating back to 1985. The homecoming provided a venue for AE alumni to reconnect, share experiences, and pledge their continued support for the growth and advancement of the AE program at CvSU.
A
highlight of the event was the ceremonial "AE Toast," led by Dr. Ruel
M. Mojica, a CvSU alumnus and officer of PSABE Region IV-A Chapter. The toast
symbolized the collective commitment of AE alumni to support the endeavors of
both the CvSU AE Group and the PSABE Cavite Chapter in shaping future engineers
and contributing to the field of agricultural and biosystems engineering.
During
the homecoming, Engr. Kelvin Michael A. Crystal, President of PSABE Cavite
Chapter, presented the chapter’s accomplishments for the first quarter of 2023
as well as its upcoming activities, plans, and programs. Engr. Jose Carlo R.
Dizon, Vice President of PSABE Cavite Chapter, also delivered a warm welcome
message to the attending AE alumni, further strengthening the bonds between
past and present members of the CvSU AE community.
The
AElumni Homecoming 2023, a key event of CvSU's Alumni Loyalty Day, underscored
the unwavering commitment of AE alumni to their alma mater and to the
continuous advancement of agricultural and biosystems engineering in Cavite and
beyond.
